Shelburne is a functional felted shoulder bag in two sizes.

Technique: Knit, Crochet for Accent, and Felt
Skill Level: Intermediate
Finished Size for Large Bag: 8″ tall x 12″ long, 5″ to 1″ deep
Finished Size for Small Bag: 6″ tall x 10.5″ long, 4″ to 1″ deep
Yarn Required for Large Bag: 550 yards Worsted Weight Yarn for the MC, and 420 yards Worsted Weight Yarn for the CC (lighter color). This includes 50 yards for the optional button tab overlay. This bag is knit two-stranded throughout, combining one strand of MC and one of CC for the “tweed” section of the bag. Be sure to use 100% Feltable Wool.
Yarn Required for Small Bag: 560 yards Worsted Weight Yarn for the MC, and 90 yards Worsted Weight Yarn for the CC. May also be knit with one strand of Bulky Yarn 300 yards MC and 50 yards CC. Be sure to use 100% Feltable Wool.
Suggested Needle/Hook Size: US 13 (9mm) 24″ Circular Needles (US 13 (9mm) Double Point Needles are optional), and K (6.5mm) Crochet Hook.
You will also need: 2 Locking Stitch Markers, 4 Needle Markers, a Darning/Tapestry Needle, a sharp needle, 1 decorative button for flap, 25″-30″ Leather Strap Handle, matching embroidery floss for sewing, plastic canvas or flexible kitchen cutting board, to cut to fit for base liner, 1 Magnetic Snap Closure, and for Large bag 2 8.5″ x 11″ plastic canvas sheets.
