Stitch Diva Trapeze Jacket Pattern

$3.50

The versatile “IT” jacket for a modern wardrobe! Stitch Diva’s Trapeze Jacket puts a fresh, knitted twist on classic “Jackie-O” styling. Sweet yet sexy, it is the perfect attire for stylish layering in any season. Pick your sleeve length, short princess sleeve or tapered mid-length, then knit this no-hassle jacket from the top down using a try-on-as-you-go technique. This jacket requires minimal seaming. (The sleeves, collar and plackets are picked up and knit instead of being seamed on later.) Finish off by finding a unique brooch to accent the neck closure and you will make this sophisticated little jacket your own. Skill level is intermediate.

Create the short-sleeve design for sizes XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X), finished bust 33″ (35″, 38″, 40″, 42″, 48″, 50″), with 1215 (1215, 1485, 1485, 1620, 1755, 1755) yards of DK Weight Yarn. As featured, the design is created with 9 (9, 11, 11, 12, 13, 13) skeins of Tilli Tomas Elsie (33% wool, 33% silk, 33% milk protein; 135yds/50g) in American Beauty. The long-sleeve version is created with 1560 (1560, 1690, 1820, 1950, 2080, 2210) yards of DK Weight Yarn. As featured, the design is created with Tilli Tomas Aspen (100% wool; 130yds/50g) in Skydrop.

Suggested needles are US 7 (4.5mm), 36″ and 16″ Circular and Double Point Needles. You will also need Stitch Holders, safety pins, Stitch Markers in 3 colors, clip-on markers, a Tapestry Needle, six 3/4″ buttons, and a brooch (optional).
